Terms of Use
Last updated: August 12, 2026
JASHT (“Just A Simple Habit Tracker”) is operated by Evont Software GmbH. This page covers the parts that are specific to JASHT: what is free, what the optional sync subscription costs you, and how to end it.
Which agreement applies
The JASHT app for iOS and iPadOS is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The sections below apply in addition to it, and they also apply to the web app at web.justasimplehabittracker.app.
What is free
Creating habits, logging entries, streaks, the 15-week heatmap and all statistics are free to use, permanently. This is not a trial and it does not expire. There are no ads, no limit on how many habits or entries you create, and no account is required — that data lives on the device you use JASHT on.
Your account
An account is optional and only needed for syncing. You sign in with a code sent to your email address, or with Google or Apple. An account is for one person; keep the device and mailbox you sign in with secure, because anyone with access to them can reach your habits.
The sync subscription
- Syncing your habits and entries between devices is an auto-renewable subscription.
- The price and the billing period are shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.
- On iOS the subscription is sold through the App Store: payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm, and it renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can see, change or cancel it any time in the Settings app under your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds for purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple under the App Store terms, not by us.
- If the subscription ends, nothing is deleted and nothing is locked: the free features keep working exactly as before, only syncing between devices stops.
Accounts from before sync became paid
Accounts that existed before syncing became a paid feature keep syncing at no cost, permanently. We do not remove that afterwards.
Using JASHT fairly
Please do not use JASHT to store unlawful content, do not try to disrupt or overload the service, and do not attempt to access data belonging to other people. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your data
What we store and why is described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data at any time — see Support for how.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
