Privacy Policy

JASHT (“Just A Simple Habit Tracker”) is operated by Evont Software GmbH. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you stay in control of it. The short version: without an account, your habits never leave your device.

Using JASHT without an account

JASHT works without signing up, and that is how it works by default. The habits you create, the targets you set and the entries you log are stored on your device — in the app on your phone, or in your browser's local storage when you use the web app. We do not receive them, and there is nothing for us to store.

What we collect if you sign in

An account is only needed for syncing between devices. If you create one, we collect:

• Account information — the email address, or the Google or Apple account identifier, you use to sign in. From Sign in with Apple or Google we receive only the basic profile data (name and email address) needed to create the account.
• Habit data — the habits you create, the targets you set, and the entries you log, so they can be synced to your other devices.
• Purchase status — whether an active sync subscription belongs to your account. We never receive your payment details.
• Basic technical data — device information and, if the app runs into an error, crash reports, used to keep the app working reliably.

What we don't collect

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, we do not use tracking or advertising analytics, and we do not share your habits or entries with anyone else. Your data is scoped to your account alone.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the app's features to you: authenticating your account, syncing your habits and entries across your devices, and calculating streaks, heatmaps and statistics.

Purchases and subscriptions

Syncing between devices is a paid subscription. Purchases on iOS are processed by Apple — Apple takes the payment and we never see your payment details. To check whether a subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as a processor: it receives the purchase receipt from Apple together with an identifier for your JASHT account, and tells the app whether syncing is unlocked. It does not receive your habits or entries.

Data storage

Data synced to an account is stored securely on our servers and retained for as long as the account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, and object to its processing. You can export or delete your data from within the app, or by contacting us. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
